Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation.What can I expect to do in this roleJoin the ministrys core team of agricultural specialists responsible for providing advice and information to Ontario farmers relating to crop and livestock agricultural production (crops and livestock) and business management. The Agriculture Development Branch is involved in key research projects and applying findings from those projects when developing best management practices. The team promotes technical and high-quality agricultural production through the application of best management practices, on-farm quality assurance programs and plant and animal health strategies. The branch also provides business management resources that assist clients with farm business development.As the Agriculture Development Branchs Intern, you have a unique work environment that offers many different experiences ranging from hands-on field scouting work to communications initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and determining research priorities and areas of innovation.
