A Better World.Don’t miss out on the opportunity to work alongside the world’s best in paediatric healthcare.Position DescriptionIn support of the SickKids 2025 Strategy and the vision of Unprecedented Outcomes Powered by Precision Child Health (PCH), the PCH leadership team is looking for a dynamic Project Manager with clinical and/or research experience who can balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively to support the implementation of core components of the Precision Child Health initiative. Reporting to the PCH Directors, the successful candidate will join a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to help shape the future of paediatric precision medicine at SickKids and beyond.Working under the direction of the scientific, clinical, and operational leads for PCH, the Project Manager will support the day-to-day operations of the PCH office and facilitate the planning for and implementation of translational (research to clinical) pilot projects and programs that advance the PCH vision across SickKids. The project manager will also have the opportunity to work with counterparts at CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal in support of our SickKids – Sainte-Justine Precision Child Health Partnership.Here’s what You’ll Get to Do:

  • Provide organizational support for PCH node groups, task forces, and committees (drafting reports/ updates, managing lifecycle etc.)
  • Support the development of business cases and implementation plans for new PCH pilot projects and programs
  • Help monitor cost recoveries and draft reports to partner funding agencies, philanthropic donors and or institutions
  • Assess and support the data capture needs required to support the evaluation and success of PCH pilot projects and programs
  • Assist with drafting internal and external coms material highlighting ongoing PCH work across the institution
  • Work with counterparts at CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal to advance our Precision Child Health Partnership between the two institutions
Heres What Youll Need:
  • At a minimum, completion of a Master’s degree program or recognized equivalent in a health- or science-related discipline with a minimum of three years of experience in clinical research and/or project management
  • Strong leadership and project management skills [formal training in program management (PMP) is desirable
  • Proven ability to work with great efficiency and to perform multiple concurrent tasks
  • Familiarity with the health care and research communities and the challenges that they face
  • Strong ability to approach new concepts, problem solve and synthesize ideas
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral)
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient in software programs for tracking metrics and budget projections, project planning and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Comfortable working with disparate data sets and working with various data formats
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, regulatory, institutional, and/or departmental policies and procedures would be an asset
  • Ability to perform duties professionally and courteously and produce high-quality work while meeting deadlines per institutional standard
