Job Description

As a part of our growing operation in Peterborough, the successful candidate will be responsible for oversight and coordination of all activities related to delivery of large manufacturing projects.Your day to day:

  • Managing delivery of project manufacturing activities and deliverables to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality products within cost and schedule commitments
  • Accountability for project team’s performance with respect to project cost and schedule commitments
  • Responsibility for planning and reporting processes related to project delivery (e.g. schedule updates, resource forecast, etc…)
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Manufacturing operations that focus on productivity, cost improvement and/or streamlining planning and execution activities.
  • Participate in, and/or lead, major capital investment programs to improve equipment/facility capability and/or capacity
  • Work closely with leaders of the various functional departments to ensure adequate resources are allocated to projects as needed.
  • Some travel is required to support customers
Who you are:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a leadership role
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma/degree in a relevant technical field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable leading meetings and giving presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience and comfortable with interacting with, and presenting to, business leadership
Preferred:
  • P.Eng. in relevant field
  • Training and certification in Lean manufacturing principles
  • Nuclear industry experience, CanDU preferred
  • PMP certification
