Job Description

As someone with excellent communication skills and business acumen, you will thrive in our fast-paced and agile environment.Your opportunityWe are looking for a Project Security Compliance Lead to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals.The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Quality and can be based from any Dillon office across Canada. You will have the opportunity to play a vital role in meeting the security requirements of federal government and various other private sector contracts across the organization.Responsibilities:What your day will look likeProject Security Compliance Lead (97%)

  • Manage the security program requirements for Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), RCMP, as well as security requirements for other public and private sector clients
  • Address and coordinate all internal and external project-based security compliance measures to meet client requirements
  • Designated as the Company Security Officer (CSO) for PSPC Contract Security Program (CSP)
  • Maintain status as a Designated Organization Screening (DOS) and Facility Security Clearance (FSC) company with the PSPC
  • Monitor and update project security compliance measures based on changes to the security authorities’ policies and procedures
  • Appoint, brief and train Alternative Company Security Officers (ACSOs)
  • Review contract security clauses to verify all requirements are followed
  • Administer personnel security clearances and briefings and maintain a registry of security screened employees
  • Administer requests for visits to secure sites
  • Ensure that Dillon’s subcontractors and sub-consultants satisfy project security requirements
  • Report known or suspected security incidents, lead investigations and communicate security violations, breaches and comprises
  • Ensure that proper handling, safeguarding, and access measures for all protected and classified information and assets is implemented and maintained, in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Assist with Federal Government inspections as required
  • Perform regular audits to ensure all areas of the project-based security compliance program are being adhered to
  • Develop and provide ongoing security education and awareness to employees
  • Complete other duties as required by the Manager, Quality
Learning and Development (3%)
  • A commitment to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
  • Input to the career development of security program personnel (ASCOs, etc.), including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, training and mentoring
Qualifications:What you will need to succeed
  • Three (3) to five (5) years post-secondary education in business administration or demonstrated combination of education, skills, knowledge and experience
  • Experience in the PSPC’s CSP and procedures and online tools is considered an asset
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain Secret Level Minimum security clearance with PSPC and RCMP
  • Familiarity with document safeguarding and broad IT security knowledge

  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing workload demands
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions when experiencing unexpected challenges or roadblocks
  • Excellent attention to detail, a high regard for accuracy, and the ability to provide high quality outputs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications
  • Experience in a Professional Services consulting firm (engineering/environmental/planning) is considered an asset
