This position is located at our head office in Downsview, Ontario.About this opportunity: The QA Data Control Clerk will provide support for the implementation of all Quality Assurance (QA) activities.This position will be responsible for validating the accuracy and validity of data entered in multiple data systems and checking labels of various products manufactured and packed by the company while confirming suppliers’ specifications and authenticating their information.Your responsibilities: · Review supplier specifications for both products and packaging, to ensure accuracy.· Ensure incoming product COA’s and letters of guarantee are obtained in timely manner.· Enter and maintain JVF Vendor approval program.· Complete finished product specifications in an accurate manner.· Prepare product information like ingredients, nutrition information to comply with various customer request.· Create new NFT and verify existing ones against suppliers’ specs or lab test results.· Uploading specification information into various customer specific websites.· Provide PDF files of label artwork to meet various customer requests.· Review and approve new labels.· Train and educate production personnel in food safety, allergens and good manufacturing practices.· Communicate with production, maintenance, purchasing and other departments on various quality issues.· Assist in investigation of customer complaints and Communicating with suppliers of all complaints related to their product.· Initiate and complete nonconformance reports in a timely manner and maintain an accurate register for all NCRs.· Actively involved in holding and releasing various products once testing results are obtained and maintaining an accurate register of all hold products.· Conduct internal audits as required and follow up on corrective action.· Participate in developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures, Specifications, Quality Control and Processing Procedures.· Maintain a minimum inventory of all lab chemicals and testing kits.· Additional duties as required.Your qualifications: · Knowledge and experience with Labelling and Labelling Regulations preferably for both Canada and USA.· 2-years post-secondary education program or equivalency· Food Safety Background preferred· 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred· Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel· Ability to analyze and solve problems independently· Excellent data entry and strong organizational skills· Strong time management and administrative skills with a keen attention to detail· Solid oral and written communication skills including effective listeningWe offer: · Competitive compensation and health and benefits package· Employee discount in our retail store· Work / life balance· Career growth· Our office is conveniently located at Dufferin & Finch and easily accessible by public transitIf you are looking for an opportunity in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, please submit your application.Johnvince embraces diversity and encourages all qualified applicants to apply.
