What is the opportunityContact Centre Technology (CCT)'s core purpose is to provide industry leading Contact Centre capabilities to our business partners, bringing the Omni-Channel client experience to life. The Contact Centre Team delivers cutting edge technology solutions for a fast-changing Contact Centre landscape. The CCT Quality Engineering (QE) Team is looking for a hands-on, results-oriented leader with strong technical expertise to join a diverse and inclusive group dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions. The QE Lead position is responsible for the technical testing delivery of critical systems, maximizing test coverage and adhering to QE best practices and standards to ensure the safety, soundness and resiliency of CCT solutions. The QE Lead will also play a key role in maximizing automation and driving QE Transformation efforts.What will you doManage project test activities and align to RBC Quality Engineering practices while partnering across IT and with assigned business lines to plan functional and non-functional testing activitiesDevelop QE testing strategy for initiatives, determining the appropriate balance of manual and automated tests, as well as the types of tests UI, web service, API, functional, etc.Lead and execute QE activities for agile and iterative project delivery models for development and maintenance initiativesDrive quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection by adopting quality engineering practicesFacilitate complex group meetings and conducts information gathering sessions with groups across IT as well as offshore teamsDevelop deep domain knowledge and business logic, processes, flows, data flows and rules, for areas in scope along with hands-on test case/script creation and test executionReview test artifacts, ensuring QE processes and best practices are followedUtilize service virtualization tools to enable early testingWhat do you need to succeedMust-haveBachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related (technical) degree/diploma4 or more years of Quality Engineering experience with proficiency in QE processes, test deliverables, defining test plans and evaluating risk coverage for Agile and iterative waterfall projects3 or more years of Development and/or QE Automation experience, with strong technical background in a variety of environments (e.g. cloud, distributed or mainframe, web services/APIs)Solid experience writing complex E2E test scenarios for complex use cases/business requirements, involving multiple data sources and system interfacesHighly effective communication skills; ability to focus and prioritize and solve complex technical problemsDemonstrated ability to support multiple initiatives concurrently, balancing deliverables and ability to prioritize deliverables across projectsHands-on expertise in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools (e.g. SOAPUI, ReadyAPI, IBM Rational Integration Tester) and script development using scripting languages (e.g. Python)Nice-to-haveKnowledge in Contact Centre technologiesExperience with Cloud Solutions such as Elastic Search and KafkaHands-on programming experience (e.g., Java, C) and source configuration tools (e.g. GIT, SVN, MKS, etc.)Experience working with Non-Functional Testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner, JMeter)What’s in it for youWe thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
