You are able to adapt to new challenges in an ever-changing dynamic environment, where an unconventional workweek is commonplace.Working in a team setting, the Recreation Coordinator will be contributing at the forefront of supporting Canada’s military abroad. Most importantly, you will be coordinating recreation programs and services for the CAF and their partner nations. The Recreation Coordinator will deliver briefings and guidance on recreation policies, directives and procedures. You play an important role in enhancing the morale of those deployed by planning recreational activities, overseeing recreation clubs, and planning excursions, outings and events. Keeping military members energized ensures they are mentally and physically ready to sustain the rigors of operations, and live healthy balanced lives.This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity that does not come along often!QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and LicensesCollege diploma or certificate in Travel and Tourism or in a related field(OR An acceptable combination of education, training and experience)Canadian citizenshipMust have a valid Canadian passportPossess a valid Canadian driver’s licenseExperienceIn coordinating and planning recreational activitiesIn providing recreational information to clientsIn administrative proceduresIn scheduling, organizing and overseeing activities for program development and deliveryIn providing travel information to clients, such as tourist attractions, foreign currency, customs, languages and travel safetyCompetenciesClient focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership. This will give you an opportunity to learn more about our organization as well as interact with like-minded people that may be deploying with you.
