Reporter-Editor - Broadcast/Newscaster (Full-Time)Toronto, ONAdd your voice to the broadcast team at The Canadian Press, Canada’s trusted news leader. We are currently accepting applications for a full-time newscaster position. This role involves shift work, including evenings and weekends, and will be based in our Toronto newsroom.Responsibilities: · Write hourly National News roundups, wrapping up the top stories.· Prepare and deliver a solid, contemporary newscast.· Record audio and work with studio editor to send out clips from live/breaking news events.· Write and record voice reports.· Edit stories and newscasts, ensuring quality and adherence to CP style.· Help coach and mentor staff on broadcasting best-practices.· Ideate and pitch story ideas.Skills and Experience:· Applicants must have at least 2-to-5 years of on-air news experience – preferably in radio.· Strong knowledge of news and current affairs.· A flair for writing broadcast copy with an attention to detail.· Excellent knowledge of digital media, specifically audio and broadcast.· Familiarity with Audio software, preferably Burli.· Solid news judgment and ability to make effective decisions quickly under tight deadlines.· Ability to work independently.***Reporter-rédacteur(trice) – radio/présentateur(trice) de nouvelles (temps plein) Toronto, ONAjoutez votre voix à l’équipe radio de La Presse Canadienne, le chef de file de l’information au Canada.
