Job Description

Comperemedia is the premier source for monitoring competitive intelligence in direct marketing. The Insights team is looking for a strong Research Analyst to prepare and deliver research findings to our suite of clients primarily within the financial services, insurance, and telecom sectors, specific to the Canadian marketplace.In this role, you will be responsible for checking, producing, and delivering reports using data that has been collected through Comperemedias proprietary marketing tracking database. This role is a combination of content creation and client engagements.What You Will Be Doing:

  • Writing Reports: Writing syndicated, ad-hoc, and custom market research reports based on in-house data and other best-in-class sources of competitive marketing intelligence for CA-specific sectors and clients.
  • Developing a Strong Grasp on CA trends within FSI, Insurance, and Telecom: You will build on your knowledge of these sectors, and become a go-to analyst for these topics.
  • Incorporating Marketing and Industry Trends: You will work with senior analysts and directors to consider how marketing trends impact the industry and how industry trends impact marketing, to help clients understand the shifting competitive landscape.
  • Presenting Your Work: You will gain experience and confidence in presenting your work to clients, primarily via zoom/webex/teams, or over the phone.
  • Managing Deadlines: You will be responsible for tracking and adhering to timelines and deliverables for long and short-term projects.
Who We Are Looking for:
  • CA Sector/Trends Experience: You have experience working within CA-specific sectors and spaces that will make for a successful transition into this role.
  • Data-driven: You love working with data and have a minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience analyzing competitive or consumer data with a research capacity. (Experience with syndicated datasets, such as Mintel, IRI, ACNielsen, comScore, Competitrack, etc. is a plus.)
  • Marketing Knowledge: You have experience building campaigns or strategies in one or more marketing channels.
  • A Storyteller: You are able to pull various types of data sets into a story to meet objectives. Youre also skilled in crafting a narrative and editing your work, as well as others writing.
  • Naturally Curious: You are always drawn to knowing the "why" behind things and great at digging into the data to pull out key points of interest.
  • Multi-tasker: You can easily pivot, managing multiple projects and varying timelines to make sure client deadlines for each project are met. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Collaborator: You enjoy working with your colleagues to tackle projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
