Come be a part of the team.Job DescriptionAs a valuable member of the Restaurants Team, you will be responsible for delivering championship fan service to members and guests during a variety of Scotiabank Arena events.Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and provide ongoing mentorship/training/motivation to the Premium Restaurant team
  • Work with the manager to prepare and coordinate seating plans
  • Ensure pre-opening duties are completed and staff are assigned sections
  • Verify accuracy of incoming deliveries; ensure they are accurately secured
  • Assist in expediting food orders to the dining room
  • Ensure order discrepancies are quickly resolved
  • Supervise the floor during service; respond to customer concerns
  • Ensure closing duties are completed in an accurate manner
  • Document service issues and resolutions
  • Assist with other administrative functions including employee performance reviews
  • Accurately and efficiently coordinate scheduling and attendance records
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Act as a guest service agent for club members
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Supervisory or management experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant required
  • Smart Serve Certification required
  • Extensive knowledge of food and wine, Sommelier Certification an asset
  • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette
  • Effective team management experience
  • A proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands
  • Proficient with POS (Point of Sales)
  • An aptitude for identifying and assessing details
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Shown to perform well under pressure; balance multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to guest satisfaction
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as the need arises
  • A winning attitude
