Job Description

Summary: Onix is currently seeking a passionate, engaging and motivated individual to fill a position in the role of Salesforce Data/Reporting Analyst. This person will help to lead the ongoing development of reporting and analytics from our Salesforce environment that includes Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and FinancialForce. A successful candidate will have strong technical and data management skills as well as a good understanding of data structure and business processes. This individual should have a strong track record of executing well on daily tasks and have experience in importing, exporting, cleaning, transforming, validating, and modeling within the Salesforce.com environment. This candidate will also have a record of success in leveraging relevant Salesforce data in key executive KPI dashboards both internal and external to the Salesforce environment. The analyst will work closely with a Salesforce administrator, functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Order Management, and our core program business processes.Location: Remote-Nationwide, Remote-Ontario, Remote-QuebecScope/Level of Decision Making: This is a position responsible for driving the data and operational needs of Onix as a whole as it relates to Salesforce. In this position, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a reporting environment to meet business requirements, ensuring that Salesforce data is properly represented in internal and external KPI dashboards, and establishing and maintaining data quality requirements. You’ll work with Sales and other Onix teams to ensure that the accurate information is going into Salesforce and that processes are being followed. As needed, you’ll work on projects and other initiatives being deployed within the Sales, back office teams, and other users of Salesforce.Primary Responsibilities:The Salesforce Data/Reporting Analyst is responsible for ensuring that correct processes are being followed and that a level of governance is consistent across all Onix teams within Salesforce. In this role, you will be responsible for Salesforce and other connected tools as well as how those tools integrate with each other. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of these tools, creating reports/dashboards with them and providing overall support.

  • Accountable for executing and processing of data change requests
  • Responsible for maintenance, administration and support of data elements
  • Ensures metadata, reference documentation, data files and data flows are accurate and up to date
  • Create mappings between fields in the different sources/systems
  • Support with data validation, quality issues, integrity, accuracy, consistency and works to resolve impacting issues related to data elements; de-duplication and cleaning
  • Assisting with data analysis in Salesforce
  • Creation and generation of reports on various metrics both quantitative and qualitative in Excel, Salesforce and other systems/tools
  • Salesforce.com admin support: User access administration, regular data loads, data validation
  • Maintain user roles and profiles within Salesforce; ensure hierarchy is up to date
  • Perform special projects as needed
  • Work with our management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
  • Assist in training of new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization
  • Work independently from the user base to define and document development requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in data management, operations or business analyst role
  • Salesforce.com data base knowledge required, Administrator or Developer certification is a plus
    • Salesforce Data/Reporting Analyst (ADM201 and ADM211) certified
  • Strong Data Quality, Data Governance and Data Management experience required; Database/SQL skills is a plus
  • Past experience with integration technologies i.e. ETL, data migration and packaged applications
  • Experience supporting a sales/account management organization
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Effective prioritization, organization and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment, meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize simultaneous requests
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Developer certifications
  • Experience with FinanceForce and Conga
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views and/or other content of intermediate complexity
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
  • Experience with cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS)
  • Experience managing multiple salesforce environments and migrating functions and code between sandbox and production environments
  • Understanding of cloud based application governance models and version control of application development
