This Information Systems position is responsible for planning, project management, coordination and functional support of all Thales Canada domains primarily, in the area of SAP logistics. The SAP areas of responsibility will be in the SD, CS, MM, IM/WM, PP, PM and QM modules.The support and project management work is primarily, but not limited to, the use and evolution of the SAP system. This position includes leading and supporting both project and production support activities. The SAP SCM Functional is the primary liaison between the Business teams and the Information System’s Business applications team.Key ResponsibilitiesThe SAP areas of responsibility are but not limited to SD, CS, MM, IM/WM, PP, PM and QM modules. The specialist in SAP logistics will have oversight for the enhancement and maintenance of these functions in Thales Canada’s ERP footprint - SAP ECC 6.0.Support of 3PL integration with SAPSupport PLM integration with SAPResponsible for planning, directing and coordinating the efforts of both the project and functional/technical support activities.The individual will be expected to act as Project manager on projects/initiatives related to SAP or relevant applications through their entire lifecycle, including estimating resource requirements, RFP and SOW reviews, project activities and dependencies.The individual will interact with internal team members, outsourced partners, including ABAP and Basis for issue escalation/resolution including the oversight of system configuration in the Logistics modules by any external service providers.Work with managed service partner’s delivery manager to ensure quality of service (QoS) for the Operations team. Responsible for supervising system configuration in the Logistics modules by any external service providers.As required the individual will be expected to respond to Help Desk requests by reviewing and resolving assigned tickets based on priority in a reasonable time, aligning to SLAs and to provide a high level of customer service.The individual will have a clear understanding of material master data management - the homogeneity of master data, its impact on our business and on master data management policyInteract with Business Analysts and customers to identify and document requirements that will be used to produce systems requirements documentation.Transform business requirements into functional specifications and provide estimates to meet requirements.The individual will have subject matter expertise, develop training materials and deliver training on the use of functionality in the Supply Chain areas.The individual will provide guidance on strategy relative to the Supply Chain modules, e.g., what tools/business processes can be implemented at client in order to improve our efficiency/productivity and ensure that IS supports the growth of the businessManage testing of SAP solutionsThis is a remote position, but travel may be required periodicallyKey Requirements:Must be familiar with SAP ECC 6.0 logistics functionality up through current enhancement pack.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or related field required, Master’s Degree in Computer Science, related field highly desired.Strong business process knowledge in Procurement to Pay processes: Inventory Management, Requisitioning, Purchasing, Material Requirements Planning and Engineering Bills of Materials.Understand the integration points with Accounts Payable, Production Planning and Sales & Distribution and Finance.Maintained high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.Analytical ability to synthesis data and reporting on metrics.Customer Service and Results oriented.Proven ability to stay organized and the ability to prioritize workload.Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applicationsA working knowledge of Project Management. 3+ years as a project team leader or work package manager.10 years’ experience as an Logistics consultant or functional team member specializing in three of the following modules (SD, CS, MM, WM, PP, PM, QM)4 full lifecycle implementation projects as a MM, WM, PP, PM, QM functional/configuration team member.2 full lifecycle upgrade projects as a MM, WM, PP, PM, or QM, functional /configuration team member.Be able to independently solve complex functional issues in SAPExperienced with utilizing OSS and submitting support messages to SAP.Experience with SAP Data Migration and Interfaces including LSMW, eCATT, SAP Query and other data management tools.Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Bilingual (French/English), must speak, read and write each fluently.Ability to prioritize workload.This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be able to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:SAP Certification in a SCM module is highly desiredAdditional functional experience in SAP Portal is a plus.Functional experience working with SAP Supply Chain Management.Functional experience working with SAP Business Warehouse, BEX analyzer, Business Objects or related business intelligence tools.Functional experience with 3rd party shipping automation solutions.Functional experience with PLM Solutions.Functional experience with the deployment or support of supply chain/operations functions on the Fiori platform.Functional experience with supporting barcoding and RFID solutions.Functional Experience with automated/collaborative testing systems such as HP QC, ALM, Panaya, Solution Manager or related application.Experience with SharePoint, LiveLinkExperience with using Solution Manager 7.1/7.2 Business process monitoring.Thales is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace for all.
