With a focus on total wealth planning, and wealth specialists to help you deliver on this unique value proposition, you’ll be enabling clients to see not just the big picture, but all the little ones too.Job Profile:As an Investment Associate for a large wealth management team, your primary purpose will be to work closely with the Advisor in the development and management of the Advisors book of business by providing excellent client service and primarily contributing to portfolio management, research, and trading activitiesIs this role for you In this role you will:Be Responsible for Trading and Portfolio Management:Managing the execution of discretionary portfolio management transactions and trading on behalf of the AdvisorMaintaining a good understanding of client profiles and that the Advisor’s investment strategy being used to implement client objectivesEnsuring the suitability of client recommendations, and that they are in line with the clients’ financial goals, objectives and risk levels.Ensuring non-solicited trades meet the client risk toleranceResearch portfolio allocation opportunities that align with the portfolio management principles of the advisorEnsure a high level of client service by:Preparing, analyzing, and presenting reports and recommendations to clientsWorking with the Advisor to develop and distribute client communication and marketing pieces related to portfolio allocation and changesProviding recommendations to Advisor for improvement of team business and portfolio management processesWorking closely with Team of ExpertsContribute to the effective functioning of the branch team by:Developing into a leader on the team and within the branch by providing experience, direction, and expertiseRegularly reviewing practices to ensure business processes are streamlined and tasks are being completed and logged for tracking purposesBuilding effective working relationships across the team and with various business line and corporate function contactsMaintaining a high level of customer serviceFacilitating a culture of open and honest communicationEncouraging the generation of new ideas and approachesDo you have the skills required to be successful in the role Wed love to work with you if you have:3+ years of Investment Industry ExperienceExperience in trading, systems, portfolio management.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to take initiative and work independentlyAbility to meet deadlinesUnderstanding of industry and firm compliance regulationsIn-depth industry knowledge ACCREDITATIONSCanadian Securities Course (CSC)Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)Wealth Management Essentials (WME) prior to enrolling in Registered Representative TrainingRegistered Representative Training (RRT)Relevant licensing as required by the Advisor’s businessCompleted Investment Associate Training Program (IATP)CFA Level 1 & 2 completion considered an assetExperience using Charles River Trading Platform an assetWhats In It For You
