To make our network of over 1400 travel entities more profitable, efficient and help them create truly unique travel for their clients.Job DescriptionWith a thorough understanding of Agile methodologies, the Scrum Master will lead and evolve TripArc’s Agile practices with the goal of driving business results and ensuring that products are delivered within the required timelines. The candidate must be capable of supporting multiple teams at once and will provide guidance and foster engagement with our technology delivery teams and business stakeholders. You ensure execution of sprints on time by facilitating key ceremonies such as daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives. You understand the importance of the ceremonies and the benefit that each one can bring and can adapt them where appropriate to fit the needs of the organization.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies including estimating/sizing, planning, forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution and facilitation.Track team output and achievement and identify continuous process improvement opportunities.Facilitate ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, and participate in the product release management process.Influence a wide range of stakeholders (i.e., Business, Delivery, IT) to remove team-level impediments, resolve conflicts, anticipate challenges, identify risks, recommend mitigations and solutions, and maximize team output.Ensure compliance with TripArc’s policies and procedures for project delivery and implementation.Support and educate the Product Owner, Business Stakeholders and Delivery Teams on agile principles and practices to preserve the team from external pressures which may inhibit productivity.Encourage an environment of open communication and collaborative problem solving, where the impact of mistakes can be minimized through early detection and the identification of learning opportunities.Develop strong partnerships with the Product Owners and Delivery Teams, to gain an understanding of business objectives and to facilitate alignment when managing product backlogs.Knowledge of current and emerging agile industry trends and best practices to improve team efficiency.Understanding of Scaled Agile to determine possible application as the TripArc Delivery Team continues to grow.Qualifications5+ years of experience in software product development.3+ years in Scrum Master role.Experience coordinating multiple scrum teams in parallel is desirable.Discipline expert in agile practices (Scrum framework).Experience in DevOps and Agile Toolset (JIRA, Confluence) would be an asset.Agile methodology training, certification preferred.Strong negotiation skills and willingness to confront and be confronted.Strong organizational change management orientation.Energetic, positive, motivational leader and creative problem solver.Excellent communication skills and well organized.Open and broad perspective with sensitivity to cultural diversity but do like diversity.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear, concise, and professional manner.Embody Agile core values of openness, courage, respect, focus, and commitment.
