Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.The Security Automation & Orchestration Engineering team participates in the supporting activities and corresponding services within Information Security Engineering.The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of automated playbook workflows. Collaborating with the Security Operations, Security Investigations and other functions in Information Security and DBTS to identify inefficient and manual processes that would benefit from automation.What will you do

• Lead Python development of automated processes for the Security Orchestration, Automation, & Response (SOAR) platform
• Maintenance and Administration of the Security Orchestration, Automation, & Response (SOAR) platform
• Cross train with various security teams to understand functions and gain insight into automation opportunities
• Collaborate with security and technology teams in improving monitoring and alerting infrastructure processes and tools
• Develop and maintain required documentation for security tools and processes to support and maintain Sun Life’s strong security posture

What do you need to succeed

• University degree or college diploma program in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable professional education/training in a field relevant to IT Security.
• Fresh Grads are welcome!
• Skills in agile development methodologies with attention to code quality while delivering secure code
• Good understanding and experience of Python
• Knowledge of cyber security tools such as SIEM, IDS, EDR
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, Windows and Containerization
• Skills and experience in AWS service (such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, SQS etc.)
• Hands on skills in SOAR products
• Excellent written communication skills and presentation skills.
