In this role, you’ll provide effective administrative and coordination support to ensure the Security Department runs efficiently.Please not this is a full-time position that runs from Sunday-Thursday on a weekly basis.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:Ensuring that the customer service philosophies are met and are an important part of the everyday operation of the Security DepartmentScheduling guards, tracking sick days and vacation time, preparing and submitting time sheets and bi-weekly payroll, tracking employee training records, filing, and supply purchasingPreforming certain supervisory duties from time-to-time including reviewing incident reports, as well as ensuring guards are responding to calls/arriving for their shifts on time, and providing necessary discipline as neededAccounts Payable – prepare, track and maintain purchase orders, invoices, and all other accounting to maintain good budget governance for the department. You will also assist the Security Manager with the creation of budgets and forecastsPreform duties and tasks as assigned by the Security Manager, Assistant Security Manager, and respond to direction from all Yorkdale Management. This may include but is not limited to coordinating staff meetings, in-mall events, training, Health and Safety, and insurance investigationsTenant Relations – act as the departments’ tenant relations liaison. This may include but is not limited to sending memos, and inter-department project coordinationTo succeed in the role, you have:Must have a high school diploma; Post-Secondary education in related field such as Law Enforcement, Justice Studies, Security, or Police Foundations is preferred.3-5 years’ experience in a related position.
