In this role, you’ll be providing effective leadership, guidance and direction for all Security Professionals within the Security Department. Ensure compliance with all standardized safety and security policies and procedures within the company. Safeguard the company’s property from legal improprieties and loss. Recommend, review and implement Safety and Security programs under the guidance of the Security Manager and the Assistant Security Manager.We are looking for a highly motivated Security Supervisor to join our Security team at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. In this role, you’ll be providing effective leadership, guidance and direction for all Security Professionals within the Security Department. Ensure compliance with all standardized safety and security policies and procedures within the company. Safeguard the company’s property from legal improprieties and loss. Recommend, review and implement Safety and Security programs under the guidance of the Security Manager and the Assistant Security Manager.Please note this position requires flexible availability, including overnights and weekends as needed.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that the customer service philosophies are met and are an important part of the everyday operation of the Security Department.
• Ensuring that all Security personnel functions are being properly completed by the Security Department.
• Providing supervision for workers to ensure workplace safety and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Ensuring that all employees, tenants and visitors abide by the shopping centres rules and regulations
• Reviewing all reports and notebooks completed by Security personnel to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
• Performing duties and tasks as assigned by the Security Manager, Assistant Security Manager and responding to directions from all shopping centre management.
• Ensuring that each shift is properly manned at all times and perform Security Professional duties as required.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• High School Diploma. Post-secondary education specializing in Law, Justice, Security or Policing Certificate is preferred
• 3+ years of Security experience
• Previous Supervisory Experience is an Asset
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Valid Ontario Security License
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License
