Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will work on different types of assurance engagements under the supervision of a Director and a Partner.The position is remote within OntarioYou will work in a variety of industries, including emerging ones such as cannabis, psychedelics, and gaming.Your responsibilities will include overseeing entire engagements from planning to completion, coaching junior and intermediate accountants, building effective and long-lasting working relationships with operational client contacts, preparing complex areas of the file, coordinating group audits with component auditors in other cities and countries, reviewing work completed by junior and intermediate team members, and responding to client, manager, and partner requests.Your responsibilities will also include planning, executing and completing audit files, understanding technical standards, recognizing relevant accounting and audit issues, managing allocated projects or assignments, supervising and training junior and intermediate staff, maintaining technical knowledge, and contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. To apply for this position, you need to have at least 2 years of audit experience, possess leadership qualities, have a strong commitment to quality, and hold a CPA designation or at least substantial progress thereto.You should also have a thorough knowledge and experience working with IFRS, ASPE, and CAS, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong file management skills and organization, ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and experience with Caseware.Powered by JazzHR
