SUMMARY We are looking for a driven, motivated individual to join our infrastructure team. A strong IT professional who can analyze, monitor, improve and resolve system issues. The primary role would be to administer the company’s network and maintaining, optimizing and monitoring Linux systems. Other responsibilities would include, improving processes, writingupdating documentation, and providing 3rd level IT support for colleagues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDeploy, Configure and maintain LAN and WAN networks Monitor, Maintain, troubleshoot/problem solve network and server systemsDeploy and maintain new server systemsEnsure regular security patching of systemsDeploy, install and support IT equipmentParticipate in architectural and configuration discussionsMonitor, document and report on system utilization and capacityDiagnose and provide solutions to recurring issuesImplement changes that will optimize existing hardware and network resourcesProvide escalation support for IT HelpdeskCo-ordinate with equipment and software vendorsCreate and maintain documentationTrain support staff on new technologiesTake part in on-call support rotationOther related tasks and duties as assignedCOMMUNICATION/INFLUENCING OTHERSThe Senior Analyst role will work closely with other members of the Infrastructure team and Support teams, along with members of the Web Development and Application Development teams to act as a resource regarding all components of Infrastructure support and management. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree in a related discipline would be an asset (e.g., B.Eng. B.Sc., etc.)8+ years’ experience in network infrastructureStrong technical knowledge of Networking principlesStrong technical knowledge of Linux/Unix Platforms and TechnologiesStrong technical knowledge of networking in cloud services platforms (Azure)Strong working knowledge of Bash scriptsExperience in system backups, including SQL, Windows/Linux on prem, and in the cloudExperience in system inventory, monitoring, and patchingExperience in disaster recoveryExperience with a helpdesk support toolTechnical knowledge of HP servers, SAN’s would be an assetKnowledge of Microsoft Platforms and Technologies including Window Server, Hyper-V, and Databases would be an assetExperience with Active directory administration on prem and in the cloud (Azure)Experience with Office 365 tenant administration.Experience in delivering IT Development projects, system implementation and business supportExperience in multiple implementation phases; system selection, design, development, testing, and supportStrong creative thinking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilities SUPERVISIONamp; BUDGET AUTHORITY N/A PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT This position is a desk job. The applicant will have the choice of working from the office at 351 King St East, Toronto, or working from home with the occasional day at the office. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires that the applicant be able to use a computer, and some potential heavy lifting.
