Job Summary: This Senior IT Architect/Strategist role leads the development, implementation, and evolution of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy. The successful candidate will define and maintain the enterprise business capability map, aligning IT investments with strategic priorities. They will provide strategic oversight and architectural direction across various domains, including cloud infrastructure, IAM, integration platforms, and data platforms. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to guide cross-functional teams and advise senior leadership. Location: Toronto, Ontario, CanadaResponsibilities: - Lead the development, implementation, and evolution of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy. - Define and maintain the enterprise business capability map. - Provide strategic oversight and architecture direction across key domains (cloud infrastructure, IAM, integration platforms, data platforms, and governance frameworks). - Develop and align architecture roadmaps with business transformation objectives. - Shape and contribute to the enterprise operating model. - Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. - Lead the definition and design of a modern enterprise data platform architecture. - Translate complex business problems into strategic architecture options. - Support solution reviews and investment planning. - Partner with business and IT leadership to shape strategic initiatives. - Drive simplification and modernization of the technology landscape. - Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of technology governance processes. Required Skillsamp; Certifications: - Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or IT leadership roles within complex organizations. - Demonstrated expertise across core architecture domains: application, data, technology, infrastructure, and security. - Proven experience developing and operationalizing enterprise architecture strategies and frameworks (ideally in both private and public sector settings). - In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), data platforms, IAM, integration frameworks (API/Middleware), and modern governance practices. - Experience defining and implementing enterprise-wide governance models, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps. - Bachelor #39;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. - Strong business acumen, systems thinking, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. - Strong leadership and influencing capabilities. - Results-oriented, highly collaborative, and skilled at driving clarity in complex environments.
