Job DescriptionAECOM Buildings + Places Architectural team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position is based out of our Markham, ON office but we are open to work on a hybrid-basis. AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Job Summary: We are seeking an Industrial engineer who knows buildings (HVAC) but also has Operations, Maintenance and Storage facility (OMSF) experience, especially bus garages, and has experience with hydraulics, lifts and other industrial elements.Major Responsibilities:

  • A key member of the mechanical design team responsible for design and construction administration of various facilities,
  • Provide conceptual design at the early stages of the project and develop the concept to high quality detailed design, co-ordinate with all disciplines;
  • Design HVAC, Controls, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems;
  • Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using industry programs (Carrier HAP);
  • Perform calculations, conduct design drawing reviews, and field investigations;
  • Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards;
  • Write/ edit mechanical specifications;
  • Must participate in business development and writing proposals.
