This course takes a hands-on approach to investigating several environmental design issues: climate-responsive design, energy consumption, health and comfort, natural lighting and ventilation, and water management. Course assignments in previous years have involved students building up a design of a net-zero carbon residential building through several instructive design exercises during the semester, including hands-on measurement and calculation activities.Estimated course enrolment: 90 studentsEstimated TA support: 120 hoursClass schedule: Lectures, Monday, 1 – 4 pm

Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2023 – April 30, 2023Salary: Sessional Lecturer I - $8,489.67; Sessional Lecture 1 Long Term - $8,869.25; Sessional Lecturer II - $9,085.58; Sessional Lecturer III - $9,301.90These salaries are inclusive of vacation pay. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum qualifications: Masters with equivalent professional and/or academic experience required.
