Course Number and Title: WGS 340 H1S - Women and Revolution in the Middle EastCourse Description: This course examines the complex and conflictual relations between women and revolutionary struggles and focuses on a number of theoretical and empirical issues relevant to the Middle East and North Africa context. The course is open to both senior-level undergraduate and graduate students with different requirements.Enrolment Estimate: 40 studentsEstimated TA Support: noneClass Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 2pm-4pmThe delivery method for this course is currently online synchronous. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department.Salary:$8,489.67 (Sessional Lecturer I);$8,869.25 (Sessional Lecturer I Long Term);$9,085.58 (Sessional Lecturer II);$9,301.90 (Sessional Lecturer III)Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum Qualifications:Completed Ph.D. with a scholarly background in areas related to the specific course required.Preferred Qualifications:Teaching experience of a similar course at the university level. Experience using online teaching and learning platforms, apps, and software is also preferred.Description of Duties:

• Preparing the syllabus, reading list and lecture materials
• Delivering lectures
• Developing, marking and administering course assignments, tests and final assessments
• Holding regular office hours
• Communicating with students via email and Quercus
