Job Description

As a Shader Artist at Alpha Channel Inc., you’ll be using the latest technology to make stunning materials for a wide range of assets. We’re looking for someone who can come up with creative solutions to hit the desired art direction, all while ensuring shaders are efficient and fit within budget constraintsResponsibilities Include:

  • Create efficient shaders, materials and art asset prototypes
  • Maintain shader library
  • Provide technical support to artists
Qualifications
  • Strong art skills with an understanding of modeling, shaders, texturing, & lighting for games
  • Extensive experience working with Unreal engine scripting and materials, and real-time lighting and workflows
  • Strong knowledge of texturing software, preferably Substance Designer and Painter
  • Familiarity with material layer systems
  • Experience with shader networks and procedural texturing
  • Self-motivated, excellent interpersonal skills, and being able to work well with a team
  • 3+ year’s experience
Nice To Have
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • Scripting knowledge
  • Traditional art skills such as painting, drawing or sculpting
  • JIRA Experience
