We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Solutions Architect with excellent technical knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and related Microsoft cloud solutions to join Whitecap Canada’s Microsoft practice. Youll work directly and collaboratively with technical, management, and client teams to deliver high quality development services and welcome opportunities to research and implement new technologiesWhat you will doThe SharePoint M365 Technical Delivery Lead will be comfortable in all aspects of Project delivery including solution design, development, technical specs, prototyping, requirements definition, technical support, integration support, and more. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overall application architecture and design decisions during a project to meet client requirements and systems, ensuring solutions align with business goals and processes, and fit within the enterprise context.
  • Assists the functional resources/business analysts with requirements gathering and provides design guidance for SharePoint M365 and Power Platform projects. Lead workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions.
  • Provides leadership and technical guidance to the project team throughout the implementation to ensure successful delivery of Project.
  • Work as a development lead and be able to demonstrate a wide range of development skills. Be a strong advocate for adherence to standards and best practice. Understand the capabilities of the development team and schedule their work appropriately, providing support and assistance when needed.
  • Facilitates discussions with business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision and solutions in the form of software products, customizations, and integrations to meet those needs within SharePoint M365
  • Respond to Pre-Sales and technical questions and provide product, technical, and business expertise and assist team to prepare and present tailored software demonstrations.
  • Provides best practices and solution alternatives as part of functional or technical design documents.
  • Ability to be client-facing including effectively communicating with the client, leading meetings, and capturing and distributing action items.
  • Occasionally assist with providing inputs to the project plans, estimates and scope for sales proposals and statements of work.
  • Stay current on SharePoint M365 for Customer Engagement and related technologies, particularly Power Platform and Azure cloud technologies that support the solution
What you bring to the role
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience of building solutions using Microsoft SharePoint, and related MS technologies.
  • Proven experience as either a technical lead, technical architect, or solution architect with SharePoint
  • Experience working with the SharePoint to build custom workflows and applications
  • Extensive experience with the .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C# development and various JavaScript frameworks.
  • Familiarity with PowerApps, Flow, Logic Apps, Microsoft/Office Graph, and SharePoint Modern Pages/Web Parts preferred
  • Leading Migration Projects Plan with experience and expertise in leading a SharePoint Migration.
  • Proven ability to create innovative solutions to solve complex business requirements, and streamline/automate business processes
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills
  • Experience with leading or participating in the gathering and documenting of business processes and requirements for the system with key business users
Nice to have:
  • Professional certification in SharePoint, Power Platform & Azure certifications.
  • Experience with integration services such as SSIS/ShareGate, Microsoft Flow, and Azure Integration Services
  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting-based technology
  • Experience with responsive design and front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core and ASP.NET both MVC, WebForms and API based development
  • Scrum methodology awareness and previous work in an agile environment

  • Outstanding communication skills (oral & written), with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated project or engagement management ability to plan and execute projects/engagements to a successful conclusion
  • Proven track record with the types of business development activities and an established network of relevant contacts
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently, think creatively and deliver quality user focused software solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in the central GTA (401/DVP area) with onsite/remote flexibility
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship
