You ask for feedback and want to grow and develop in your career.We are seeking a Snowflake Administrator who will play a critical role in building and maintaining Snowflake in an AWS environment. The candidate will play a central critical role for identifying and performing core database administration for the Snowflake environment.Core Responsibilities:

• Strong experience with Roles, Users, Data shares, Accounts, PII , Clean Room, Schemas and Native Snowflake
• Perform Administrative tasks like but not limited to, DDL creation, user creation, account level parameter changes etc within Snowflake Database.
• Responsible to integrate Snowflake Database with SAML or OpenID Provider for Authentication

• Create Snowflake utilization and Capacity Plan for general housekeeping as well as for peak period.
• Create and Manage multiple accounts across the Organization.
• Practical knowledge of Time Travel & Cloning

• Be able to design and develop secure access to objects in Snowflake with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Able to provide recommendation on Snowflake best practices for management, monitoring, and optimization
• Good Understanding of data replication for data sharing across accounts and for failover scenarios

• Diagnose Database problems and implement Solutions.
• Experience working with Snowflake Support for raising tickets and triaging outages
• Be able to review DDLs and apply standards.
• Good Understanding of Snowflake ODBC, JDBC drivers as well as SnowSQL in terms of usage as well as troubleshooting any issues.

• Ability to maintain and follow a run book with has documentation related all the tasks as well as Database standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or 5-10 years of experience working in the field of IT, specifically as Database Administrator
• 3+ years experience as Snowflake DBA. This should be a complete hands-on experience.
• Develop, build & maintain mission critical centralized data platform using Snowflake
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Snowflake database errors
• Work with multiple internal user groups including analytics and data science
• Implement Snowflake user /query log analysis and alerts
• Demonstrated proficiency of index design, query plan optimization and analysis required
• User security auditing
• Implement/support automation for production deployment in Snowflake
• Actively work with Snowflake support for raising support tickets and triaging outages
• Create Snowflake utilization and capacity plan
• Tune the database to improve Snowflake queries
• Proactively identify, design, and implement process improvements like automating manual processes, optimizing data flow, increase scalability etc.
• Strong knowledge on Snowflake security features including authentication, authorization, encryption, masking, secured views etc.

Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 6-9 monthsPay: $75.00-$80.00 per hourSchedule:

• 8 hour shift
