Job Description

Join our team in our mission to continue to put patients and families at the centre of everything we do, in the role of Speech Language Pathologist.This is a Casual role and will require travel to different job sites of Unity Health. Weekend availability may be required.Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide SLP coverage across all programs and services as required
  • Assessment and management of swallowing disorders and neurogenic speech/communication screening
  • Videofluoroscopic assessment and management of swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, consensus building, peer support and team building.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a busy caseload, and to complete necessary paperwork and documentation effectively and promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Registrant in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) required
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology required
  • Active membership in provincial and national professional associations required
  • Two years clinical experience (including hospital-based experience) preferred
  • Completion of CASLPO mentorship required
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the various Unity Health Toronto sites (Providence Healthcare, St. Joseph´s Health Centre and St. Michael´s Hospital)
  • Satisfactory attendance record.
