Overseeing both the day-to-day needs of content from ecommerce photography and video, social media assets, corporate and sales content, and marketing projects varying in scope, the Manager, Studio will be required to run the internal studio function, including resourcing, scheduling, and budgets. This role is required to be in the Studio on a weekly basis and will efficiently help manage internal creative resources, external freelancers and agency partners ensuring on-scope, on-time, and on-budget delivery of projects. This position reports to Sr. Project Manager, and will collaborate with creative, marketing, product, commercial, design and merchandising teams.The ideal candidate will have previously run a high-performing creative studio including still and motion production and has a vast knowledge of equipment and lighting. They are a collaborative process-driven leader with exceptional problem-solving skills. They are well connected in the local and Canadian creative/production community and have experience leading productions across lifestyle and apparel categories.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Required to be in the Studio on a weekly basis for general upkeep and to support with all shoots/activity in the Studio
  • Manage equipment purchases, replacements, and rentals to ensure we have all requirements
  • Work with internal Production team on shoot prep and support with outreach to vendors (Photographers, Stylists, Hair & Makeup, etc.) to produce ecommerce and marketing, commercial, internal projects
  • Build great relationships with Creative, Brand, and Product Marketing Team members, as well as develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers, agencies, freelancers
  • Manage Studio calendar and bookings amongst various departments
  • Effectively prioritize project deliverables & assignments through effective communication with all project stakeholders
  • Create and manage project planning, on-set production, schedules, and budgets with Production Team
  • Be a trusted partner for Creative, Marketing, Commercial and Merchandising teams
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND DESIGNATIONS
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Photography, Business, Advertising or Marketing-related field
  • Experience leading a creative studio or production team
  • Retail Experience is essential
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES
  • Knowledge of photography and video equipment, as well as the technical aspects involved with Production
  • Experienced with running a studio
  • Extensive network within the local and Canadian creative/production community
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects & budgets under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced written, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail-orientated with organizational and time management skills
  • Calm under pressure! Solutions-focused and ability to think and plan even in the most chaotic environments
  • Excellent team player – willing to roll up your sleeves on and take on anything even if it doesn’t fit neatly in your job description
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external vendors to develop and negotiate project scopes, timing, and budgets
  • Strong computer skills, in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Highly motivated, passionate with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work on set at CG HQ on a weekly basis
