We provide a unique and comprehensive supply chain solution to international companies looking to access North American bulk commodities.We’re growing fast and invite you to join our amazing team.Supply Chain Manager - Bulk Exports ROLE As the Supply Chain Manager of Bulk Exports, you will be responsible to manage all day-to-day operations that allow our company to execute on bulk commodity orders. This will include, but are not limited to, the procurement, transportation, transload, packaging and exporting of bulk commodities under an efficient supply chain model.This is a hands-on role encompassing management of all material sourcing, inventory, rail transport, transload operations and export shipments. You will be required to communicate with vendors, internal stake holders and customers, on a frequent basis. This role requires a high degree of problem solving, strong relationship building skills, attention to detail, initiative, and multi-tasking ability.Page 1* of 3*RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Pipeline Management / Order Execution

  • Order, monitor and manage the procurement and transportation of all inbound materials required for execution of customers orders.
  • Procurement of bulk commodities and material packaging, as required to meet customer orders.
  • Execution and management of inbound rail shipments with Class 1 carriers and short lines.
  • Plan and oversee all transload operations to ensure maximum productivity and execution of customer orders.
  • Plan, execute and manage all outbound exports shipments, as required to meet customer orders.
  • Proactive response to service issues and adhere to established department KPIs to ensure internal/external customer satisfaction.
  • Overall pipeline management to minimize material dwell, maintain optimal inventory levels and complete customer orders via the most efficient operational model.
2. Inventory Management
  • Ensure accurate reporting of inventory across all facilities.
  • Ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly inventory reconciliation requirements are met and publish weekly inv reconciliation report
  • Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
  • Review and enhance inventory controls to help increase reporting accuracy.
  • Develop SOP’s to help reduce inventory loss/ shrink.
3. Vendor / Expense Management
  • Invoice validation of operational expenses.
  • Monitor, review and evaluate existing vendor performance, highlighting areas of concern or underperformance.
  • Liaison/negotiate with vendors to maintain/improve existing service and/or rate levels.
  • Evaluate and on-board new vendors that fit SEI operating model.
  • Proactively look to reduce operating cost and/or improve service levels in the SEI supply chain.
4. Reporting
  • Completion of supply chain reports as required by senior management.
  • Completion of customer reports as required.
  • Ad hoc assignments as given.
Page 2* of 3*SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 5 years’ experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, bulk commodity and/or transportation industry.
  • High degree of computer and technological literacy, including full proficiency with
Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use/learn ERP systems, online applications,TMS/WMS systems, and other applications as required.
  • Operational and market expertise of sea freight product / environment as well as incoterms, customs, and export shipping documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Very strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving and multi tasking skills.
  • Proven ability to work well independently.
  • Strong customer and solution focused mindset.
  • Certified in CIFFA, CITT or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Experience with forecasting and demand planning models for supply chain applications, considered an asset.
  • Experience with ODOO ERP and/or Intelli-trans TMS, considered an asset.
  • Experience with Class 1 railroads (especially carload/bulk commodity traffic) and/or
CROR, considered an asset.
  • Experience with transloading and drayage operations, considered an asset.
