Job Description

SVP - Ratings AdvisoryWhat to expect:This position is for a recognized expert within the organization in Rating Advisory who is an expert in the understanding of how the rating agencies operate and assign ratings – particularly AM Best. He or she independently is capable of handling client rating issues directly and would act as a lead member of the Rating Advisory Team for interaction with brokers and clients.We will count on you to:

  • Operate independently in managing and operating all of Rating Advisory’s capital models and peer analysis tools
  • Actively participate in client meetings and raise relevant rating agency issues that client faces. Develop approaches and solutions to help a client stabilize or improve their rating situation.
  • Utilize all of Rating Advisory tools and models to help educate underlying brokers on GC capabilities and proactively identify client and prospect rating issues and opportunities.
  • Oversee the development, presentation and execution of new or upgraded Rating Advisory tools and services – and cross train other colleagues in Rating Advisory and other Advisory and Analytical teams.
  • Lead presentations to prospective clients, identifies rating agency issues or opportunities and develops presentation content and modeling to address rating agency challenge or opportunity.
  • Oversee the production of all rating advisory client deliverables by more junior colleagues and is responsible to ensure quality in all area of client deliverables.
  • Engage in independent, senior-level client interaction and demonstrates expertise in problem solving, areas of coverage and client relationships.
  • Act as a rating advisory thought leader within and outside the Company and maintains a good working relationship with the rating agencies.

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field
  • 8-12 years of rating agency, consulting, accounting and/or credit analysis experience within the insurance industry.
