Job Description

This is an exciting time to join the Talent Acquisition Branch (TAB), Centre for People, Culture and Talent where we are working to advance the Ontario Public Service (OPS) as a strategic talent management organization by providing a modern talent acquisition digital solution that will better enable the sourcing, hiring and deployment of talent. The new digital recruitment solution will facilitate existing talent management (TM) and OPS HR solutions to integrate business processes and deliver a cohesive end-to-end TM user experience.   • partner with talent specialists and managers to hire top talent utilizing inclusive hiring practices;
  • educate clients and make recommendations on the recruitment process;
  • prepare recruitment products and hiring documentation;
  • support strategic recruitment initiatives;
  • track and action recruitment activities;
  • communicate with internal and external applicants and stakeholders.

  • You have demonstrated knowledge of talent acquisition processes to provide advice to clients, and to partner with Talent Specialists in the delivery of talent acquisition services and have experience applying barrier-free recruitment strategies to support inclusive hiring.
• You have knowledge of talent sourcing techniques and strategies to support and execute outreach campaigns. •You • You have experience applying pay administration rules to accurately prepare hiring documentation.Customer Service, Teamwork and Communication Skills
  • You have demonstrated customer service, teamwork and interpersonal skills to provide quality advice and service and cultivate collaborative relationships.
  • You have oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with applicants and establish working relationships with all levels of management and staff
Prioritization and Computer Skills
  • You can effectively manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • You have well-developed skills with information technology and software such as Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) to prepare reports and spreadsheets as well as develop, manipulate and maintain databases.
  • You have the ability to use human resource information systems (HRIS).
Research, Analytical Skills and Problem-Solving Skills
  • You have research skills to gather labour market information to identify trends.
  • You have analytical and problem-solving skills and experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data to outline options and facilitate resolutions.
  • You have demonstrated ability to interpret and apply collective agreements, legislation, and policies as they relate to recruitment.
  • You have attention to detail, and evaluation skills to screen applications, determine applicant eligibility, identify issues and make recommendations.
