Our tax department is a team that works together to ensure compliance with tax regulations and plan tax-related projects. We also provide assistance to the firm #39;s audit and assurance team with their tax-related matters.This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with managers and partners to learn the essential principles of Canadian tax.Your responsibilities will include:- Preparing complex tax returns for personal, corporate, trust, partnership, and HST tax filings- Preparing various tax reporting slips and election forms- Corresponding with the Canada Revenue Agency for various client tax-related matters- Assisting staff with tax-related projects and researching tax issues for personal and corporate clients- Assisting clients during taxation authority audits of their income tax- Effectively communicating progress updates and issues with managers and partners on an ongoing basis- Developing technical skills by staying up-to-date on trends, new developments, and tax authority decisions and applying them daily- Mentoring and training co-ops and junior staffA successful candidate should possess:
