In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles to designated locations. You will interact directly with customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring their satisfaction. Your ability to handle basic mechanical tasks, maintain detailed records, and adhere to safety regulations will be crucial.   • Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles from various locations to specified destinations.
  • Secure vehicles properly to the tow truck to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting vehicle owners and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of each tow, including the vehicle #39;s condition and final destination.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks such as jump-starts and tire changes when necessary.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the tow truck.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on the tow truck.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Address customers #39; complaints or concerns professionally.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including dangerous goods, through proper tarping and handling.
Requirements
  • Valid commercial driver #39;s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Valid Ontario Tow License and AZ/DZ license.
  • Previous experience in towing or related commercial driving fields.
  • Strong customer service skills and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently, including nights and weekends.
  • Clean driver #39;s abstract and criminal record.
  • Aptitude for ensuring the safety and security of cargo, including handling dangerous goods.
  • Proficiency in conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
