OLDF is looking for a trainer for a contract position. The Trainer will be responsible for training and developing additional training courses.Ontario Learning Development Foundation (OLDF) is a registered charity in Canada that performs training and educational services for youths, children, new immigrants, and seniors. Our mission is to transform our communities through integrated educational and community-response empowerment initiatives for children, youth, new immigrants and their families.Position OverviewWhile reporting to the Project Manager, candidates will be responsible for designing, creating, and writing. This is a casual position with flexible evening and weekend hours. Trainers are called on an as-needed basis with the opportunity to accept shifts as they are offered., flexible to meet program needs.- Facilitate courses in person or virtually- Provide ideas and feedback on program content- Participate in the monthly planning and share the responsibility of preparing the quarterly training calendar as assigned- Attend and participate in program planning meetings and staff development training as required.- Support the creation and maintenance of instructor guides, participant guides and parental material for various courses- Design and maintain course materials across various products and delivery channels, including Face to Face, virtual instructor-led and self-paced learning when required.Qualifications- Potential candidates must be self-motivated and resourceful.- Resourcefulness and strong research skills- Bachelors Degree in Communications, English, Education, Educational Technologies, Instructional Design or equivalent field- Demonstrated success in innovative or learner-centred teaching techniques- Demonstrated organizational skills, including computer competencies, meeting deadlines, working under pressure and self-direction- Superior oral and written communication skills and an ability to present arguments clearly and effectively for a range of audiences- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Google drive.- HIGH-FIVE certification: Principles of Healthy Child Development, Quest 2, Principles of Healthy Child Development Trainer or willingness to obtain it.- Other duties corresponding with this position may occur.Time Commitment- Flexible hours, approx. 10 - 15 hours/week- Must be available for a 6 - 12 month contract- Salary: $25 per hourLocation-Hybrid work due to COVID-19The application deadline is January 13, 2023We want to thank all those that apply; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
