Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced ABA Training Specialist to join our team! This is a Full-time Employee position.ABA Academy is Ontarios market leader specializing exclusively in ABA therapy. Working in multidisciplinary teams with teachers and other professionals, we create access to educational solutions so families can be confident in the future of their children when facing Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental exceptionalities. We are pleased to offer in-home and community-based services across the Greater Toronto Area including Etobicoke, North York, Markham, Thornhill, Toronto, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby and Richmond Hill.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Facilitate and administer training workshops using training guidelines developed by ABA Academy.
  • Engage trainees in a positive learning environment by facilitating individual and group training sessions using Behavior Skills Training (BST).
  • Identify the individualized learning needs of the trainees.
  • Provide constructive feedback to trainees.
  • Evaluate trainees and administer quality assurance checks using ABA Academy’s training standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on the progress of assigned trainees. Report any issues to the Program Manager to ensure program consistency.
  • Participate in curriculum development and training, as required.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and organize training workshop materials (e.g. handouts), the learning environment, and resources before and during each session/workshop.
  • Travel to client locations to provide onsite coaching, mentoring, and training as required.
  • Reports to the Program Manager
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must have or be working towards a Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Adult Education.
  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or working toward this certification.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience working as an Instructor Therapist with special needs children.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in clinical supervision.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in training clinical staff.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Must have a valid license to drive in Ontario, access to a vehicle, and be willing to travel across the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Available to work during weekdays weekends and/or evenings based on staff and program needs.
  • Available to provide needs-based and individualized training.
  • Recent Police Check (not older than 6 months)
  • First Aid/CPR training
