Job Description

Do you have a passion for organization, proficiency, multi-tasking, and an eye for the finest of details If so, we are looking for an Underwriting Assistant Analyst, and you could be the right fit!We need someone to be responsible for the successful bordereau upload, manual coding and accounting reconciliation of policy data provided by our distribution partners. This includes the monthly data collection, quality analysis, formatting, uploading, and error resolution for distribution partner payments.You will be our main contact and key relationship with regard to distribution partners for all operational issues, as well as general underwriting queries. The key performance indicators are timely and accurate processing of data (particularly for policies), problem resolution and response to Broker/Underwriter queries.We want someone with a love for building positive relationships with our partners, whilst focusing on the professional development of both yourself and the company!Accountabilities:

  • Process transactions received from Brokers/Underwriters. Handle and process documentation received from partners.
  • Enable the use of the bordereau automation tool, through data manipulation.
  • Analysis of Program bordereau for data quality and alignment with Program billing statements
  • Report on performance through operational key performance indicators. Articulate challenges/ issues, and suggest improvements to the overall process.
  • Handle billing communication, and other partners within Aviva and externally with the Broker
  • Build positive relationships with Brokers as Aviva’s first point of contact for operational issues
  • Provide data for quality assurance and audit functions
  • Provide input to weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis reports to support tracking of processing.
  • Developing deep understanding of RPA tools, the associated potential and challenges to support design of new applications’.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Post-graduate degree an asset, ideally with a STEM field
  • Experience in Insurance industry an asset
  • Data analyst experience considered an asset
  • Data mapping and data analysis
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Financial literacy
  • Strong communication skills and proficient problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data
