We're building a Canadian technology and entertainment company.Join our rocketship!Job descriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONThe Video/Audio Editor (Creator) role will lead in the editing of video/audio content for social media channels, podcasts, and various other projects.The successful candidate will be creating and editing video/audio content regularly.This is a contract position (for now) working as needed – but let’s be real, content is king, we’ll be working a lot. We’re a young start-up and are building our co-founding team.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit video content using content recorded via video/audio chat, including editing, cutting content appropriately, and inputting sounds.
  • Edit audio content using content recorded via video/audio chat, including editing, cutting content appropriately, and aligning with video footage.
  • Taking content from recorded conversations and turning it into bitesized clips.
  • Leading in creative direction, adding energy to our creation process that is unique and valuable.
  • Showing up every day to create something new, to be a team player, and to contribute daily to our creative execution.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS...
  • At least 2 years experience creating and editing killer video/audio content for social media, YouTube, or podcasts.
  • Ability to edit video and audio content quickly
  • Expert in creating videos in Adobe Premiere or equivalent software.
  • Experienced in editing audio in Adobe Audition and Premiere or equivalent software
  • Experience creating content like a podcast or youtube video.
  • Thorough understanding of what/how content is shared across social media and able to leverage that knowledge to create engaging, sharable content.
  • An understanding on what’s trending, who’s creating a buzz, and everything happening in the social media/internet world.
  • Resourceful ability to take a project from start to finish.
  • Takes pride, ownership, and accountability in each and every task, with a winning attitude.
  • Will consider someone with little experience who shows drive and hunger to win and to be a creator.
