• You’ll be putting more food dollars into local farms so they can continue to grow the most nutritious and delicious produce while preserving farmland and biodiversity in Ontario.

As an Receiver, your key duties and responsibilities are:Receiving

• Receive shipments from multiple suppliers
• Check that quantity of items match what was ordered
• Check that quality of products meets our standards; deciding whether or not to accept or return product
• Ensure that invoices are clearly marked with returns and/or errors and that cheque numbers match and are on each invoice
• Communicate with purchasing about any shorted or returned product in a timely manner

Fridge Organization

• Separate and sort received product and put away in its proper location in the fridges, freezers, or dry goods section
• Organize and clean fridges as necessary; rotating and consolidating older product and ensuring fridges are condensed and tidy at all times

Warehouse Organization

• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment at all times
• Vacuum water leakage in fridge 5, sweep fridges and receiving area, empty garbage, condense empty pallets, collect and compile boxes to put in the baler

Qualifications & Requirements

• Have an excellent eye for produce quality
• Good communication skills
• Excellent decision making skills, being able to make decisions on rejecting product that may impact operations
• Excellent organizational skills
• Teamwork mentality
• Ability to meet the shift requirements (early morning starts) on a permanent basis
• Experience in a warehouse setting and/or within the grocery industry would be terrific!
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably, and be on your feet throughout the day.
• Ability to be punctual, and reliable
• Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude!
