Job DescriptionLocated by the citys waterfront, Thisel Cannabis is home to the wonderful Sugar Beach neighborhood also known as East Bay Front.The foundation of Thisel Cannabis is the vibe, energy and quality of our curated menu. In order to provide the best possible consumer experience, we are looking for candidates that exude positivity, carry an open mindset, thrive in a fun, and social culture.Job descriptionAt Thisel, we understand that the corporate structure and the cannabis industry are not a good mix. We understand that sales associates want to speak and educate consumers on quality products instead of focusing on the companies profit margins. We understand that sales associates do not want to be pressured to upsell consumers. With that being said, Thisel puts zero pressure on associates to hit sales quotas or push specific items onto consumers. We are all about QUALITY over QUANTITY!No cannabis sales experience is required. Due to our peak hours and days, candidates must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays.Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and educate them on responsible cannabis use
• Provide information based on ongoing learning and accurate product knowledge

• Maintain and enforce the high standard of security measures implemented to ensure the safety of staff and consumers

• Facilitate the sale of regulated cannabis by discussing cannabis products and engaging consumers in a variety of cannabis accessories

• Upsell consumers by discussing additional products/promotions offered

• Effectively utilize a compliant POS system and cash register

• Pick orders

• Maintain the confidentiality and security of sales records and operational reports

• Record and report all discrepancies

• Protect and maintain confidentiality pertaining to company assets and resources

• Ensure the cleanliness of the store is maintained on a daily basis

• Check identification of consumers who appear to be 25 years of age or under

• Outreach marketing

Requirements

• Pre-employment Criminal Record Check

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings

• 1 year experience in a fast paced retail setting

• Valid Cannsell Cannabis Retail Certification (can be completed post-hire)

• Willing to work in 24/7 surveillance environment

• Ability to work with iOs and Android operating systems

• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills

• Basic skills in math and proficiency as a sales associate

• Ability to learn, research and discuss cannabis products and accessories

• Must adhere to Thisel uniform policy at all times

• Confidently represent the Thisel brand

• Must have a positive mindset

• Open to diversity and individual differences

• Must be willing to work in a dog friendly environment

Job Type: Full-time/evening/weekendsJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $17.00-$19.00 per hourBenefits:
