Learn more about our next chapter.The OpportunityAs a member of the Office of the Registrar’s (RO) Marketing and Communications Team, the Web Content Specialist edits, writes, migrates and proofs copy for RO websites, working closely with university stakeholders. The successful incumbent will ensure adherence to Toronto Metropolitan University brand and style guidelines as well as industry and regulatory standards.QualificationsTo help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree program in a related area, such as Journalism or Communications, or 4 years of specialized training is required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required working with communication principles, practices, priorities and objectives related to digital communications and the complexities of writing, editing and managing web content in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, SEO and web accessibility requirements required
  • Under the direction of the Manager and senior unit staff, develops compelling visual web designs, while adhering to the functionality and features of the web Content Management System.
  • Strong understanding of preparing images for the web, including optimizing file size, file types and colour correction.
  • Experience writing accessible content for the web and migrating content between systems
  • Advanced computer skills required
  • Experience with Adobe CQ would be considered an asset
  • Proven ability to provide advice on web content in order to develop content from concept to delivery.
  • Demonstrated skills in digital communications, writing and editing
  • Strong analytical, judgment and research skills
  • Data Studio and Google Analytic skills would be considered an asset
  • Organization, time management, problem solving skills
