We specialize in the production and sales of rubber sealing products for infrastructure industry and are dedicated to the success of our customers and our employees.The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes across both facilities in Toronto, ON and Winchester, TN. This position involves developing a deep understanding of our production methods, machinery, tooling, and materials. The Engineering Manager will lead initiatives for process improvement, material science, researchamp; development, tool design, and maintenance, ensuring we deliver high-quality products efficientlyKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:· Manufacturing Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in all manufacturing processes and the associated equipment and tooling used in rubber gasket production.· Process Optimization: Analyse and optimize manufacturing processes, production flow, and end-to-end material handling to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.· Tool Designamp; Maintenance: Oversee tool design and maintenance, ensuring that all tooling meets production requirements and is maintained in optimal condition.· Material Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of the materials used in our manufacturing processes and lead R amp;D initiatives in collaboration with the Product Innovation team.· Plant Turnaround: Play a key role in the plant turnaround in Toronto, redesigning fundamental processes, implementing knowledge management, and reporting systems.· Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team that includes a Process Specialist and Tooling Developer, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely and manage relationships with other departments to ensure alignment on engineering initiatives and product development.RequirementsEducationamp; Certificates· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology· Professional Engineer Certification is beneficial but not mandatoryTechnical Skillamp; Knowledge:· 5 to 7 Years of Experience in Engineering Management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment· Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and problem-solving techniques.· Expertise in use of mechanical design software such as CAD or Solidworks· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing a team.
