The Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, a not for profit organization, is currently looking for a First Link and Outreach Coordinator. The successful candidate will be required to support this role in the Chaleur Region and Acadian Peninsula areas.Our organization is one that is committed to making an impact in our community. They will have the proven ability to work within teams to accomplish multiple tasks and keep multiple projects organized and progressing. The position requires substantial effort to connect with, build community relations with, and engage targeted audiences.Typical Duties and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Client Programs, and in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and strategic plans of the Society, the candidate will be responsible for:· Assist in providing comprehensive in-office and telephone support to individuals and family members affected by Alzheimer’s and related diseases· Send appropriate information packages to families and individuals who contact the office for support and information· Maintain confidential client files· Develop, promote and maintain partnerships with new and existing health services in the area· Focus on program expansion and community outreach in under-serviced communities· Support provincial, national and 3rd party fundraisers on a local level· Build and maintain a volunteer base to support recruitment, training and retention to new and current volunteers· Assist in building and expanding awareness to the general public through various provincial and national awareness initiatives· Assist in administrative duties or responsibilities that may be necessary in the overall plan of ASNB· Maintain the E-Tapestry database· Prepare bank deposits· Travel as requiredQualifications:· A 2-year diploma in health, social services or a related field· Must be bilingual· Experience working with volunteers, fund development and Not for Profit· Must be approachable, have solid communication skills and a warm positive attitude with active listening skills· Ability to work independently and efficiently, multitask· Established organizational, computer and administrative skills· Possess a valid NB driver’s license and be available to travel within the region· Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours as requiredJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $40,000.00 per yearBenefits:
