The Unity Community Daycare is looking for a casual/part-time Early Childhood Educator.We are seeking a responsible, professional, mature, energetic and committed individual who enjoys working with children to join our team. We provide childcare for children between the ages of 18 months to 12 years old.Responsible to:The Unity Community Daycare DirectorDuties and Responsibilities:Early Childhood Educator duties include (but not limited to):- Ability to supervise and maintain ratio in a safe environment while ensuring the well-being and safety of children enrolled in the daycare- To carry out developmentally appropriate activities while implementing inclusive practices to ensure all children participate- To deliver early learning and child care services in alignment with our daycare philosophy- To follow center operational policies and procedures as specified in the staff handbook- Participating in physical activities- Encouraging child-led activities- Teaching values, manners and responsibility- Cleaning, organizing and sanitizing- Assist children with all necessary care routines such as diapering, toileting, hygiene, etc.Requirements:- Early Childhood Education Certificate/Diploma or willingness to enroll in online classes- Current clear criminal record check in the vulnerable sector- Current First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain- Safe food handling certificate or willingness to obtainAssets:- Knowledge of childcare licensing regulations- Experience working in a childcare setting- Willingness to work all required shiftsWage is based on education and experience.Only those selected will be contacted for an interview.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentSalary: $12.00-$18.00 per hourBenefits:
