Equipment Operator - VEH002843Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Central West-UnityMinistry: 016 HighwaysSalary Range: $24.107-$30.214 HourlyGrade: SGEU.06.The Ministry of Highways, North Battleford District Operations, is seeking an Equipment Operator for the Unity Section.As a member of the Section Crew, you will operate, service, and maintain heavy equipment such as tandem trucks with hydrodrum, spinner, and snowplow attachments; motor graders; and front-end loaders. You will perform various highway maintenance functions in the summer and snow and ice removal in the winter months. You will keep records and logs of hours of operation, repairs, and amounts of materials applied to highways. In the absence of the supervisor, you may be assigned supervisory responsibilities.You will work under extreme and changing climate conditions and must be willing to travel and work flexible hours. You must be able and willing to work in physically-demanding conditions and perform physical labour, heavy lifting, and climbing.To qualify for this position, you must hold a valid Class 1A license.Candidates must be able to perform the duties of this position in a safe manner.
