Job Description

Position: Exterior/Interior PainterSchedule:

  • Workdays are primarily Monday to Friday, with typical hours from 8 am to 5 pm. While there may be occasional variations due to job requirements, the standard schedule revolves around 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Job duties are divided approximately 70% exterior and 30% interior work, often involving tasks on ladders (ranging from 10ft to 30ft).
Team Dynamics:
  • Painters work in crews of one to three individuals throughout the summer, promoting collaboration and teamwork. Encourage friends to apply and work together as a crew!
  • Painters are expected to be self-motivated and independent, setting personal goals and striving to achieve them.
  • Job initiation involves distributing 30 flyers to neighboring houses to attract additional work opportunities and engagement with potential clients.
Compensation:
  • Starting salary is $17 per piece (typically equating to one hour). Raises are possible within the initial two weeks, accompanied by increased responsibilities.
  • Bi-weekly one-on-one meetings will cover payroll, financial goals, time-off requests, crewmate concerns, and feedback.
Client Interaction:
  • Painters have the opportunity to receive tips based on their performance and friendliness. Exceptional service often results in generous tips.
Training:
  • Mandatory one-hour setup meeting: Will discuss financial goals, paperwork, and training/orientation.
  • Completion of a 2-3 hour online safety training courses.
  • Viewing 10 online training videos.

Equipment:
  • Painters receive two paintbrushes at the beginning of the summer and a new one monthly if necessary.
  • Two company t-shirts are provided as a uniform.
  • Painters are responsible for purchasing painter pants and close-toed shoes if not already owned.
Requirements:
  • A phone plan with sufficient data for maps and photo sharing (minimum 1GB).
