Job Description

Production Products Technical RepresentativeBoart Longyear is looking for a Production Products Technical Representative to support our growing Production Products business in Canada. In this role you will be providing technical support to ours sales team that is interacting with our Canadian mining customers.In this role you will be a key member of our sales support team that continues to develop business with our existing and new mining customers. On site product testing, evaluating and training will be key components of this job. You will also be involved with Product Management and Engineering providing field support and analysis of new product development.The location of this position is flexible as long as it is located in a mining center such as Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Rouyn or Val d’Or, Quebec.Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of underground production tooling drilling experience
  • Post-secondary education: college /university in a mining related field.
  • Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
  • Completion of Underground Common Core Modules
You Bring The Following Skill Set:
  • Proficiently bilingual in English and French – verbally and grammatically
  • Proficient in computer software such as Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to work underground in a safe manner with mine drillers and operations management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a professional consultative manner with mine personnel.
  • A good understanding of production drilling techniques
  • Able to work in a self-directed manner when onsite running tooling testing programs, troubleshooting or problem solving.
  • You work well in a team environment.
  • Can articulate ideas in a meaningful constructive manner with the Sales team, Product Management and Engineering
  • Constructively interact with the Boart Longyear sales team, mine driller and management on product related issues at mine sites
  • Prepare detailed and accurate product testing reports.
Travel:
  • In this role you will be traveling to customer mine sites on a regular basis.
  • Anticipate up to 50% of your time at mine sites.
