Additionally, the incumbent will have to implement all necessary planning, scheduling and coordinating requirements.Enter exploration data into a database for monitoring and modelling.Perform geological and structural interpretation of mining projects using 3D software.Keep informed of changes or developments in mineral resource estimation methods and reporting regulations.Help draft reports and technical studies (NI 43-101, preliminary, pre-feasibility and feasibility).Support resource modelling and updating at client exploration sites or mining operations and provide solutions to problems that they may encounter.Lead quality audits of all geological aspects for advanced exploration or development projects (drilling, sampling, analysis, QA/QC and estimation of mineral resources) and ensure important recommendations are implemented.SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProactive and client-orientedSelf-reliant and easily adaptable to changeCreative and innovative in providing solutionsAbility to make quality decisions.RequirementsBachelors degree in Geology or Geological EngineeringMember or possibility to become a member of a professional association for geologists or engineersAt least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in resource estimationExtensive practical experience in mineral resource estimation for a variety of deposits as well as having been a Qualified Person (QP) on several occasions (please provide a reference list of technical reports you prepared as a QP)Experience in managing databases, QA/QC protocols, geostatistical analyses and 2D and 3D modellingExperience in establishing budgets, in estimating and in schedulingPassion and aptitude for mentoring, training and sharing experiences with other team membersProficient in using one of the specialized geological and mining modelling software applications, like Gems, Leapfrog, Surpac, Vulcan, Minesight, Datamine, etc.Excellent ability for learning new softwareExcellent communication skills, both spoken and written (English and French).BBA is committed to promoting diversity and employment equity.
