And, we value your commitment to treat every person on our team with respect, helping us to operate safely, protect the environment and make a positive contribution to our local communities.ABOUT OUR OPERATIONWant to learn more about our operations Click here!YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE: Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Superintendent, you will be part of the Human Resources Department and will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Manage recruitment files for roles critical to operations and to the business;
  • Liaise with various stakeholders in the organization, ranging from Superintendents to Vice-Presidents;
  • Supervise, mentor, motivate and lead talent acquisition team members;
  • Develop Talent Acquisition Specialists through formal coaching and training;
  • Support and plan the work of team members in order to achieve recruitment goals established across divisions;
  • Actively participate and provide input for recruitment strategies;
  • Support the organization in a rapidly changing business environment;
  • Lead and manage various team projects aimed at continuous improvement;
  • Participate in annual budgeting exercise for the department;
  • Lead staffing plan meetings with department heads of divisions;
  • Fill in for the other Talent Acquisition Lead and/or Superintendent as needed;
  • Other tasks as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or other related field;
  • 8-10 years of experience in the recruitment field, with 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of the mining industry considered a strong asset;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.Your Work Schedule:
  • Schedule: Average of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; with a possibility of 5-2/4-3. A combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
