Job Description

This is your opportunity to join our high-calibre, experienced group of professionals on a mission to re-imagine the future by changing the way that buildings are conceived and constructed.Entuitive is looking for a Building Envelope Specialist, based in our Vancouver office that will focus on existing building projects. We are passionate about our work and the talented individuals that get to deliver complex projects on a regular basis. What will you do

  • Execute projects within the realm of building envelope consulting for existing buildings, such as design, tender, construction review, and contract administration for existing building repair/restoration/renewal projects.
  • Write specifications for existing building projects.
  • Work with Entuitive’s BIM team to develop drawings and details for existing building projects.
  • Building envelope condition assessments and forensic investigations, including field work, quantity takeoffs, budget estimates, and report writing.
  • Assist with research of new products and systems as needed for servicing your portfolio of projects.
  • Computer aided analysis of building envelope details and performance.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance leading small to large scale projects through effective project management, team leadership, coordination, and participation in the delivery of projects thus ensuring a high level of service.
  • Work collaboratively with property managers, building owners, municipal government representatives, nonprofit organizations, and other consulting firms, tailoring our deliverables to meet their unique requirements and objectives.
  • Develop business development skills to continue existing client relationships and build new ones.
  • Implement and adhere to Entuitive’s quality assurance programs to ensure that services meet Entuitive’s standards and our client’s expectations.
  • Other responsibilities as required.
RequirementsWhat do you need to succeed
  • Minimum 4 years’ work experience in building envelope consulting, with a focus on prime consulting for existing building projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in building science, engineering, or architecture; or equivalent training.
  • Registration as a P.Eng. or P.L.Eng. or eligibility for registration is considered an asset.
  • Registered Roof Observer (RRO) designation is considered an asset.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent English language communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision when needed but also enjoy collaboration and working as a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and always willing to learn and improve.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with ability to manage scope, schedule and budget.
  • Must be comfortable and willing to work at heights, including accessing sloped roofs, ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, and scaffolding.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle and maintain throughout employment.
BenefitsCompensationThe range for this position is between $80,000 to $110,000 annually and based upon experience, qualifications, location, and education. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the British Columbia Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful British Columbia applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in British Columbia or perform the position from British Columbia.Why Entuitive
