Cascadia retains a startup culture and strives to hire people who are eager to contribute and grow the firm and its culture.Position OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and organized Financeamp; Admin Lead to support the operations of our consulting firm. This role is a critical internal partner to our leadership team, with visibility across finance, people, and office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, brings strong financial acumen, thrives on variety, and enjoys keeping a high-performing team running smoothly.The Financeamp; Admin Lead will drive key areas including bookkeeping, people admin, office management, and financial analysis and reporting.RequirementsGiven the broad nature of overseeing the finance and administrative functions of the firm, the role requires a range of skills. The Financeamp; Admin Lead will perform the following activities:Financial Reportingamp; BookkeepingGenerate and distribute monthly financial reporting, which includes:

  • Company-wide revenue reports
  • Project-based financial reports, including invoicing and WIP reports
  • Assist project managers in preparing monthly invoices
Responsible for bookkeeping activities including:
  • Tax and other government filings
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
People Administration
  • Support the administration of payroll, benefits, and HR policies
  • Manage the recruiting pipeline and assist in employee onboarding processes
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, first-round screening, and interview scheduling
  • Support the assignment of staff to internal initiatives based on availability and priority
  • Support the weekly review of resource allocation and planning accuracy
Office AdministrationTechnology support including:
  • Procuring technology, including laptops and software licenses
  • Ensuring project records management are maintained and project codes are created and closed
Office management including:
  • Ensuring the office environments in Vancouver and Victoria reflects our values — well-stocked, welcoming, and professional.
The Financeamp; Admin Lead will be proficient with the following skills:
  • Experience in bookkeeping functions, including invoicing, vendor payments, tax filings.
  • Competence in supporting payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment processes.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Nice to haves: Experience with financial and revenue analysis.Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in office management, bookkeeping, operations, or related fields, ideally in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Experience with accounting software and HR/payroll systems is an asset.
  • Strong expertise with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, including advanced Excel skills is an asset.
